Anthropic turns Claude into an AI marketplace with 2,000+ plugins

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Marketplace, a single place that gathers everything built around Claude — plugins, connectors, agents and more. The storefront is already public, and the company says it launches with over 2,000 connectors and plugins available.
Not just Anthropic
Anthropic won't be filling the shelves alone. Integrations already come from Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion, Salesforce and others. On top of that, organizations will be able to buy Claude-powered agents and products from partners including CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable and Snowflake.
In a blog post, Anthropic notes that the marketplace also includes consulting and systems-integration partners — Accenture, Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte — for companies that want help rolling Claude out across the organization.
Claude has always let users connect the apps they already use, but a dedicated store, much like the Play Store, promises to reach beyond basic integrations.
Betting on developers
The backing of Microsoft or Google alone may not be enough for a marketplace to thrive. OpenAI ran into similar trouble when it launched its own apps marketplace, which never really took off. Anthropic wants to sidestep that mistake by letting anyone publish.
Developers can build connectors and plugins using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent Skills, while companies selling Claude-powered software can apply to have their products listed. The goal, Anthropic says, is to make it easier for teams to discover products that already work with Claude, and to give developers and partners a direct line to existing Claude customers.
In effect, Anthropic is building a Google Play Store for AI features. Whether it pays off only time will tell. The marketplace can be tried now on Anthropic's website.
