Fedora 45 to ship on 3 November after two delays

Fedora 45 is ready to ship: the official release is set for Tuesday, 3 November. The decision came at the latest Go/No-Go meeting, where the release team declared the newest release candidate builds fit for publication.
The road to release was not entirely smooth. Fedora 45 missed its first, early target date because a release candidate was not composed in time. A week earlier, the project also missed its second target date, this time due to a number of blocker bugs. Those bugs were fixed over the past week, and the verdict is now a clear "GO".
Anyone who doesn't want to wait for the formal announcement can already grab the Fedora 45 RC 1.4 install images. These ISOs have been declared stable and are the ones that will be mirrored on Tuesday.
What's new
Fedora 45 replaces the in-kernel console with KMSCON, and the Anaconda installer gains support for Stratis storage. Support for Qualcomm Snapdragon X laptops has also been improved.
A notable share of the changes concerns security and build integrity: ptrace is now restricted by default, signature checking is enforced by default, and package builds are expected to be reproducible.
The distribution also introduces the DRM Panic front-end, meant to make running into kernel problems a somewhat more convenient and friendly experience.
The software stack has been refreshed as well: Fedora Workstation 45 ships the GNOME 51 desktop, alongside Go 1.27, Python 3.15, the GCC 16.2 compiler, Glibc 2.44, LLVM 23, RPM 6.1 and many other updates.
